The single-story Nu-Way Cleaners was constructed for $115,000 when it opened at 167 Patton Avenue in 1961. The custom dry-cleaning plant was outfitted with the latest equipment available at the time, and featured period design elements of decorative ashlar-face brick and a concrete coping on a flat parapet.
