The Asset Manager will be responsible for creating value in a multi-product type portfolio of real estate assets, including office, multi-family residential, student housing, commercial/retail and hotel properties. The Asset Manager must be an analytical and creative thinker, able to complete internal and external reporting of portfolio results and suggest cost-saving improvements. This role will be a member of the Real Estate team, work closely with the Finance, Legal, and Project Management teams, and will be the main point of contact with vendors, property managers, leasing agents, and others. As such, a professional presence is expected at all times.
Assistant General Counsel
The Assistant General Counsel will be responsible for providing legal support and advice to GBX Group and will assist in the management of the legal department, including, but not limited to, supervising one or more attorneys and paralegals. This role will manage the legal aspects of private equity offerings, ensure compliance with all requirements of the Securities Act of 1933, and create company privacy policies and procedures to ensure alignment with security and privacy policies throughout the organization. The Assistant General Counsel must be a creative thinker with the ability to supervise multiple and complex matters and a willingness to take ownership to solve problems. This role will be a member of the Legal Group, will work closely with the Tax Group and senior executive team, and will interact with outside counsel in various states.
Construction Project Manager
The Construction Manager will be responsible for the overall project management of selected improvement, rehabilitation, and repair projects related to our commercial real estate portfolio. The Construction Manager must be an analytical and creative thinker, able to conceptualize a project, assemble the appropriate team, and successfully implement each project. This role will be a member of the Real Estate team, work closely with the Finance, Legal, and Project Management teams, and will be the main point of contact with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and property management personnel.
IT Support Technician
The IT Support Technician provides information technology support to all employees while working on projects to ensure that end user and business needs are met. This role is responsible for configuring and maintaining the computer environment which includes all computer hardware and software, network devices, printers, phone server, security system, access control system, user support, mobile device, etc. A knowledge of basic networking and cabling is also required. The IT Support Technician will be a member of the Technology team, work closely with and support all end users, and interface with our technology vendors.
The Tax Paralegal will be responsible for providing support to in-house tax counsel by performing research, drafting legal documents, preparing and reviewing federal and state tax forms, and business communications for review and maintaining corporate legal entity databases. This role will provide tax form preparation, document management and other support for the Tax Group as it pertains to GBX Group’s responses to IRS audit requests on our historic preservation easement transactions. The Tax Paralegal must be an analytical thinker, detail-oriented and possess superior organizational skills. This role will work closely with the Tax and Legal departments.
