Construction and Operations Manager
The Construction and Operations Manager will be responsible for the overall project management of selected improvement, rehabilitation, and repair projects related to our commercial real estate portfolio. The Construction and Operations Manager must be an analytical and creative thinker, able to conceptualize a project, assemble the appropriate team, and successfully implement each project. This role will be a member of the Real Estate team, work closely with the Finance, Legal, and Project Management teams, and will be the main point of contact with architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and property management personnel.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall project management of assigned GBX Group tax asset, real estate investment, and/or IT projects. This role coordinates people, projects, and processes, maintains project timelines, manages documentation, and addresses critical issues to advance project objectives and meet overall Company investment goals. The Project Manager must be an analytical and creative thinker, able to successfully manage multiple projects to timely completion. This role will be a member of the Project Management team, work closely with the Finance, Legal, Development, Underwriting, and Asset Management teams, and will be the main point of contact with developer partners, consultants, and historic organizations.
The Tax Paralegal will be responsible for providing support to in-house tax counsel by performing research, drafting legal documents, preparing and reviewing federal and state tax forms, and business communications for review and maintaining corporate legal entity databases. This role will provide tax form preparation, document management and other support for the Tax Group as it pertains to GBX Group’s responses to IRS audit requests on our historic preservation easement transactions. The Tax Paralegal must be an analytical thinker, detail-oriented and possess superior organizational skills. This role will work closely with the Tax and Legal departments.
